A real life Inglenook
This is the ADM hard wheat mill in New Braunfels, Texas, in the south Western USA. The mill buildings and the railroad connecting it to the UP have been around for quite a while. Here is my photo essay of it from 2005.
One of my favourite railway freight cars in Australia, as they were so prevalent at the beginning of the 1970s. The VLX boxcar (louvered van in AU parlance) was ubiquitous and could be found all over the NSW and Victorian railway systems
The following photos are detail shots of the VLB boxcar, these were taken in perfect conditions at the ARHS Museum at North WIlliamstown, VIC, Australia
My most recent model railway locomotive, a trackmobile. DCC equipped it runs really well and I look forward to getting this onto the layout once we've moved and get some real use out of it.
A series of photographs taken prior to leaving the US of utility poles. These images along with a document I am writing at the moment will provide me with the ability to scratchbuild these little beauties in HO and O scale.
A series of shots of the now disused trackage into the old East Austin Power Station. Once an oil fired station this facility was converted in the 1980s to run on gas.
